Side Table Workshop
Create an elegant side table as you learn how to mill rough, lumber, create Domino joints, advanced table saw techniques for taped legs and a beveled tabletop.
What You’ll Learn:
- Cross and Rip Cuts: Master straight and angled cuts using table and miter saws.
- Tapered Legs: Learn to create elegant, tapered legs with a table saw.
- Domino Joints: Understand how to use a Domino joiner to create strong joints.
- Finishing: Discover techniques for a surface finish that will stand the test of time.
Note: This class has a minimum age of 15.

Woodworking is my muse—a canvas of endless possibilities. The grain’s texture, the earthy scent, the myriad shapes—it all amazes me. My journey began with grade school projects and blossomed at Bucks Rock as a camper and counselor. From theater sets to boat building, I’ve embraced woodturning as my core hobby. Now, as a marketer turned woodworking teacher, I’m thrilled to share the joy of “making” with others. Let’s shape creativity together!
This utilizes wood from purchased from local hardwood suppliers.
Our Focus on Safety
- Respect the shop rules and safety guidelines before using any tools or equipment.
- N95 masks, safety glasses, and gloves are provided.
- Wear something you don’t mind getting dirty. The glues, paints, and stains we use can permanently stain clothes.
The maximum class size to allow for highly personalized instruction and attention is four (4) people. Let me know if you would like a larger size and we can certainly bring along an assistant to help out.
