We do everything we can to make your making experience enjoyable. You can always discuss your concerns with the instructor or contact Dan to discuss what we can do better.
Absolutely – SAFETY FIRST! We take every precaution to ensure your safety including a variety of safety briefings, individual supervision and providing of safety gear. We will never press you to do anything you do not want to do and will never let you do anything if we are not sure it is safe.
We are available to provide instruction and DIY assistance for individuals and groups at your location for any of our classes or for custom instruction. Contact us with your ideas.
You are welcome and encouraged to bring food and drink (no Alcohol) that you may partake from outside the class and workshop areas. We do not have food or drink for sale but do have water available.
Our classes are offered at a few locations. Some are at makerspaces and others at instructor workshops. Details for the location of each class are provided within each class description.
The wood mill workshop offers a variety of species depending upon the mill location. The Shaon location generally mills walnut, ash, oak, maple or pine. The Hopkinton location generally offers okay, maple and pine. These available varies and is posted with each workshop description.
Our wood mill workshops provide the chance for you to go home with one or more freshly cut wood slabs. These can be air dried to initially reduce the moisture. These may then be kiln dried. We will be offering a kiln drying service soon.
